Relations with the countries in the Caribbean are highly important to Colombia, not only because of geographical proximity, but also because of common historical and cultural roots, and the need to pursue joint action over a range of issues. We share large areas of sea, and challenges in security, interregional migration, and transnational crime, climate change and natural disasters. We have enormous potential for integration in trade, investment, but follows politics, investment and co-operation.
Colombia ha avanzado en el fortalecimiento de sus relaciones con todos los países caribeños tanto en el plano bilateral como dentro de los mecanismos de integración regional, particularmente la Asociación de Estados del Caribe (AEC).
