World Health Organization (WHO)

The World Health Organization is an agency of the United Nations that specializes in health issues. It was created on April 7, 1948 with the purpose of ensuring that the peoples of the world may enjoy the best health that can be attained. It is focused on proposing policies relating to prevention, and health promotion and intervention worldwide. Colombia has been a part of this Agency since May 14, 1959

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs must set as its priority for the near future the strengthening of communications with the Ministry of Social Protection, in order to improve the participation of Colombia in agencies such as the WHO.
