Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE)

OLADE is the political and technical-support international organization by means of which its Member States undertake common efforts to achieve regional and sub-regional energy integration in the energy market.

OLADE’s main purpose is to contribute to the region’s integration, sustainable development and energy security. It is in charge of advising and promoting coordination and cooperation among its member countries. Its headquarters are in Quito, Ecuador.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through its Embassy in Ecuador, is accountable for issues relating to the OLADE and for informing these issues to the Ministry of Mines and Energy, as well as to the Mining and Energy Planning Department, since these are the national technical entities.
