Copy of a Civil Register

Requirements

A person who requires a copy of a civil registration of a birth, marriage or death registered or reported abroad must request it from the Colombian consulate where the death was registered or reported.

  • The serial number of the registration requested and the date.

Please note that you must have formalized your request for copies before you can make the respective payment.

  • Electronic payment: On the internet, to use the Electronic Payment System, press the Safe Payments On Line button (see our Citizen’s Guide to EPS). Remember that, in order to pay by EPS, you must have an active account in Colombia with a financial entity which provides electronic payment service.
