In accordance with Article 480 of the Code of Commerce, legal persons abroad which require a certificate of existence and legal representation of a company must request it before the respective Colombian consulate, in compliance with the following requirements:
- Certificate of Incorporation of the company stating the partners, contributions, legal representation and term in compliance with the respective legal formalities.
- Certification of existence and legal representation of the company issued by the competent authority of the country in which it is registered, in accordance with the legal regulations established for the purpose in that country.
- Valid identity document of the legal representative of the company.
