Requirements to apply for a beneficiary visa

Definition: It is the authorization granted to economic dependents who are part of the family of the main holder of a visa in the capacity of: spouse or permanent companion, parents and children under twenty-five (25) years old, or older children who have a disability that prevents them from fending for themselves.

Who can apply for a beneficiary visa:
The dependent of the main holder of the following visas:

  • Type M Visa
  • Type R Visa
  • Visa RES
  • Type V Visa with the following activities:
  1. Journalistic coverage or press correspondent.
  2. Provision of temporary services to a natural or legal person.
  3. Intra-corporate transfer.
  4. Foreign government official or commercial representative of foreign government.

Requisitos:
In addition to the general requirements for all types of visas, the beneficiary must submit:

  1. Copy of the visa of the main holder of which he/she wishes to be a beneficiary.
  2. True copy of the Civil Registry document showing kinship, family or marital bond with the main holder.
  3. Visa application letter for the beneficiary, signed by the main holder stating dependence and economic responsibility for travel and accommodation expenses of the beneficiary in the national territory.
