The individual residing abroad wishing to record the marriage at the Civil Registry, must request it at the Consulate of his/her district.
Requirements:
- Personal appearance of the informant.
- The informant shall present his/her original I.D. Card and photocopy of same.
- One (1) Original Copy of the Marriage Certificate no later than three (3) months from the date of the marriage.
- One (1) Original Copy of the Birth Certificate of the Colombian contracting party.
- One (1) Original Copy of the I.D. Card of each of the contracting parties; Colombian I.D. for Colombians and Valid Passport for foreigners:
Fee: This service is free of charge; however, but other Consular fees related to the issuance of copies of registration are to be paid.
