This ceremonial, which is customary for the commemoration of national holidays of countries represented in Colombia, must be advised to the Office of Protocol with sufficient advance notice.

This Office will undertake coordination of the respective acts and, to this end, will contact the Presidential Guard Battalion to arrange the presence of the guard of honor and the military music band at the location where the wreath will be deposited.

The floral wreath shall first be placed before the monument to Simon Bolivar at the Quinta de Bolivar and subsequently before the monument of the respective hero. Upon conclusion of the solemn act, the chief of mission shall sign the book of illustrious visitors.

During official visits by Heads of State and/or Government, the Office of Protocol will coordinate a solemn act to be held before the statue to the Liberator on the Plaza de Bolivar, with participation of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the two countries, in addition to the visiting Head of State. On the occasion of official visits by Ministers of Foreign Affairs, the floral wreath ceremonial  shall be held at the "Quinta de Bolivar" Museum and, if applicable, before the monument of the hero of visiting country, and shall be jointly coordinated by the Director of Protocol and the chief of the respective diplomatic mission.
