Fellowships

UNESCO’s fellowship program aims at the development of human resources and at increasing the national capacities in the areas corresponding to the strategic goals and to the priorities of the program of the Organization.

The National Commission for Cooperation with UNESCO, along with the Permanent Delegation to UNESCO in Paris, submits the nominations, since the only ones taken into consideration are those endorsed by the National Commission of the country of the candidate. Requests from individuals are not processed.

The pre-selection of candidates to these fellowships is carried out through the Scholarship Committee from ICETEX (Colombian Institution for Educational Credit and Technical Studies Abroad), a competent Colombian government entity incorporated for such purpose whose selection methods ensure the full transparency and objectivity of the process.

It is suggested to those interested in UNESCO fellowships to regularly consult the website regarding the current fellowships offered by Icetex.
