  • To the foreigner who wishes to enter the national territory as a crew member or as a member of an international means of transportation, of a fishing or of a dredging vessel. In this case the duration of the visa will be one (1) year with multiple entries, notwithstanding the fact that the foreigner applies for a shorter duration by virtue of the activity he/she will carry out in the national territory.

The stay of the foreigner who is a holder of this visa shall be of maximum ninety (90) days for each one of the entries into the national territory.

Recomendations

 

  • Attach a copy of the personal data page of your current passport where the holder’s personal information is registered.
  • The authority responsible for issuing visas shall have the power to conduct interviews and request further documentation in cases where it deems appropriate, personally or by  suitable means of communication.
  • Visa holders whose term exceeds three (3) months, and the recipients thereof, shall be registered in the register of aliens from the Special Administrative 'Migración Colombia' Unit within fifteen (15) calendar days from entering the country or the date of issue of the visa, if this was issued on national territory; or within fifteen (15) days after the entry into Colombia days if the visa was issued at a Consulate.
  • All necessary documents for granting some visas in Colombia or abroad, shall be apostilled as appropriate and translated by an official translator to Spanish, if they are in different language.
  • Documents issued in Colombia that act as support documents or are part of the requirements for a visa requested abroad at a Colombian consulate do not require to be apostilled or legalized.
  • In the event of an error in the information of the granted Visa, provided that it was a typo or spelling error, or does not affect the essential information of the Visa, the holder will have a maximum of thirty (30) calendar days to request a correction. Once this term expires the applicant must apply for a visa transfer.
  • Remember that if your application has been declared 'non-admissible'  and you are interested in starting  a new application, you must make a new payment for visa study (analysis of documents).

TP-2 Visa Requirements
  • Attach a copy of the main page of the valid passport where the personal data of the holder appear.
  • A copy of the page of the Passport that has the last entry to or exit from Colombia stamp, as the case may be.
  • Foreigners who have applied for and been granted a visa without a QR code or OCR must attach a copy of the most recent Colombian visa.
  • Sí el trámite va a ser finalizado por un apoderado adjuntar poder debidamente otorgado.
  • Crew Member or a Member of an International Carrier - a) Letter from the legal representative of the company that is responsible for the international carrier, stating the activity to be developed and its obligation before the Colombian Government concerning the stay of the foreigner in the national territory and his/her exit from the country, accompanied by enough information enabling the verification of the existence and legal representation of the company. The interested party must inform, in detail, the number of the mercantile registry, the registered name of the company, the domicile, and the tax identification number (NIT) of the company. b) As per a foreign company, the certificate of incorporation or legal representation -or a similar document regarding its independent legal existence- depending upon the country of origin. c) Upon arrival in the national territory due to technical reasons, submit the stay permit issued by the Maritime General Direction for maritime or fluvial vessels.
  • Crew Members of a Fishing Vessel - a) Letter from the legal representative of the company that is responsible for the international means of transportation, stating the activity to be carried out and its obligation before the Colombian Government concerning the stay of the foreigner in the national territory and his/her exit from the country, accompanied by enough information enabling the verification of the existence and legal representation of the company. The interested party must inform, in detail, the number of the mercantile registry, the registered name of the company, the domicile, and the tax identification number (NIT) of the company. b) For a foreign company, the certificate of incorporation or legal representation -or a similar document regarding its independent legal existence- depending upon the country of origin. c) Letter from the legal representative of the responsible company stating that the company meets the regulations in force regarding the hiring of foreign crew members; in this case, he/she must include evidence that the maritime authority has been informed about it. d) The corresponding permits for the exercise of the fishing activity issued by the competent authority.
  •  Requirements for a Dredging Vessel - a) Letter from the legal representative of the responsible company stating its obligation before the Colombian Government concerning the stay of the foreign operators of the dredge in the national territory as well as their exit from the country, accompanied by enough information enabling the verification of the existence and legal representation of the company. The interested party must inform, in detail, the number of the mercantile registry, the registered name of the company, the domicile, and the tax identification number (NIT) of the company. b) As per a foreign company, the certificate of incorporation or legal representation -or a similar document regarding its independent legal existence- depending upon the country of origin. c) Operation authorization issued by the Maritime and Port Authority.

Remember:
 
If your process is going to perform in person, you must present your passport valid for at least 180 days and two blank pages.
Yes electronic visa requested for more than a month, you must submit your passport offices in Bogota for a period greater than 180 days and two blank pages for the respective visa stamping.

The payment must be made on the same day the receipt is generated through any of the forms that appear below; otherwise, a new receipt must be generated with the date on which the payment will be made.  

  • The payment can be made at any of the branches of the GNB Sudameris Bank nationwide or at the branch located at the facilities of the Visas office. Payment must be made in Colombian Pesos.
  • Cards from the Visa Network: this payment must be directly made at the Visas office.

  • PSE payment: it is necessary to have an active account in Colombia which is authorized by the corresponding financial entity for the service of electronic payments.
