In order to carry out these tasks, it is necessary to do several things: we meet with people from other countries, sign documents in which we agree on issues like culture, education, technology and other, visit and receive visitors of friendly countries. We do the following documents as well:
a)    Passports: These are small notebooks where your information and photograph appear and with which you may travel to other countries, showing that you are Colombian.
b)    Visas: Those are permits given to people from other countries to visit, live or work in our country.
c)    Apostilles: To make validation of certificates or documents (from your school, doctor, etc.), which may be used in other countries.
d)    Legalization of documents: Small stamps used for documents from other countries so they may be used in Colombia.
e)    We grant the Colombian Nationality: when someone from another country wishes to be Colombian, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs conducts some tests to see if he/she may be declared a Colombian.
