WHO ARE WE?

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has two very important things to do:
1.    Help our country, Colombia, to have relations with other countries in the world (something like being a good neighbor and friend in your neighborhood or in your building).
2.    Help Colombians who are far from our country to be nearer to us.
Our highest authority is our “Chancellor or Minister of Foreign Affairs” and her name is Maria Angela Holguin-Cuellar. Her job is not easy because she has to travel around the world, attending meetings here and there, you know, trying to be a “good neighbor and friend” to everyone.
Moreover, working at the Ministry there are other very important people:
3.    The Ambassadors, representing Colombia in the world and who live in other countries in special homes called Embassies; and
4.    The Consuls, who are in charge of assisting Colombians living abroad. They work at offices called Consulates.
