DELIMITATION OF MARITIME BOUNDARIES BETWEEN COLOMBIA AND ECUADOR

"Convention on the Delimitation of Marine and Submarine Areas and Maritime Cooperation between the Republics of Colombia and Ecuador", signed at Quito, Ecuador, on August 23, 1975, by Plenipotentiaries INDALECIO LIEVANO AGUIRRE of Colombia and ANTONIO JOSE LUCIO PAREDES of Ecuador.

• This Treaty established a common zone (strip), beyond the 12-mile territorial sea, 10 nautical miles wide on each side of the parallel that constitutes the maritime boundary between the two countries, for transit of artisanal fishing vessels.
